Wrestling Bios Presents - The Debut of "American Badass" Undertaker The Undertaker has always been one of the most succesful and popular superstars in the history of professional wrestling. He debuted in the WWF as a mysterious "Deadman" and for years, fans were drawn to his spooky and over-the-top gimmick. The character of The Undertaker was a total winner, so it's quite surprising that Mark Calaway would totally alter his gimmick and become a new character in the world of wrestling. In 1999, The Undertaker had to take some time away from the WWE. This was a long absence, forcing "The Phenom" to miss WrestleMania 2000 and the big payday that came along with it. In May of 2000, The Undertaker would make his long awaited return to the WWF, displaying a brand new "Biker" character that was a real departure from The Undertaker who had mounted up a ton of success in throughout the 90s. The Undertaker was now an American Badass, and he made his presence known at WWF Judgement Day 2000.
