Canada has produced some outstanding male and female athletes and has been represented at every IFMA World Championship since 1993. Today we travel back to Pan-America, to the beautiful country of Canada which has hosted 3 Olympic Games: the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary and the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. In Canada, sport is a way of life and Muaythai is very popular. The Canadian Muaythai Federation, Muaythai Canada, has been a member of IFMA since 1993 and Canada has been part of the IFMA Executive Board since 1996. Today, Kru Michael Perez, who was a 2009 IFMA Gold Medalist and now a successful Coach of many Canadian Champions, shows us why Shadow Boxing is so important and how we can find a place, regardless of whether or not we are in a pandemic, to practice and hone our technique, defenses and train the body and mind.
