Sagat's Secret to Power

At the peak of his career, Sagat lost 9 fights in a row. He thought his fight career was coming to an end. He could have hung up his gloves then. On all accounts, he had a good run winning multiple championship titles from the top stadiums. Retiring from the sport at 25 years old is not uncommon in Thailand. But a wise monk's words to him would change his life: "Don't be seduced by fame when you are rising, don't give up when you fall. Keep going." Holding these words close to his heart, Sagat came back to the sport and won 9 knockout wins in a row. At 62 years old today, Sagat still considers himself an active fighter.
