The first arm wrestling practice of my 3-week honeymoon trip to Japan brings me to U.A.G’s Tokyo branch at Sumida! Just a few minutes’ walk from Toyo Skytree station, the U.A.G is one of many professional arm wrestling gyms in Japan. The arm wrestling culture here is quite different from that in Singapore and probably many other places in the world. Rarely do we ever see gyms that specialize in arm wrestling — it’s more common other communities to have practices in someone’s garage, backyard, or some random (non-gym) public place.
