BJ became the first American to win the IBJJF World Jiu jitsu Championship in Brazil with less than 4 years of training. Training with the powerhouse team Nova Uniao with the likes of Vitor Shaolin Ribeiro, Leonardo Santos, Robson Moura & more. BJ became an icon and reference in our sport. After winning worlds at black belt, he later went on to have a long time career in Mixed Martial Arts and became a champion in the UFC with many legendary matches.
