There’s nothing in the way of instructions of how to connect the two while you play the game, but it turns out to be a relatively simple process. You kick things off in the Nintendo Switch game. Press X to open the menu and then press Y to open Options. Then you can select the Pokemon Go connection option at the top and start the process of linking your accounts. You'll then need to go into your app settings on your smart device and select Nintendo Switch connection to complete the process. However, it's worth bearing in mind that some smart phones aren't supported.
