With WWF Raw is War and WCW Monday Nitro going head to head on Monday nights, fans had to make a decision on which show to watch. Reliving The War aims to look at every WWF vs WCW battle from the mid 90s to early 2000s. The WWF are days away from the 1997 King of the Ring PPV and on this week's episode of Raw, a few changes get made to some big matches. The Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels 10 minute challenge match has been scrapped, and the Brian Pillman vs Stone Cold Steve Austin match has also been axed. Sycho Sid also returns to the WWF this week, and he has a match against The Undertaker on Raw is War. Scott Hall and Syxx open up WCW Nitro by ripping into "Nature Boy" Ric Flair. JJ Dillon decides to book a Scott Hall vs Ric Flair match for tonight's Monday Nitro and Hall has no choice but to agree to the match.
