Epic cross catch sweep! ⁣ ⁣ The savage Liam Harrison sweeps out Shane Fazen!⁣ ⁣ Usually the switch kick is countered by the cross catch, but instead of clearing the kicking leg to sweep out the standing leg, this variation keeps the leg in high position.⁣ ⁣ Then, with the momentum driving forward, the leg is kicked out! Slick technician sweeps!⁣ ⁣ These are higher level sweeps that a person with good defensive sensitivity can hit. ⁣ ⁣ The first is a hip bump against the teep, backed by a neck shove. The key is to get the whole arm around the neck and get the hip to hip. ⁣ ⁣ Once you’re in position, apply force while side stepping. ⁣ ⁣ Another key detail is that the leg needs to be thrown down and to the side of the body to initiate this.⁣ ⁣ A more commonly seen sweep is the knee grab.
