That was a fast shot. 02:29 A foot sweep would have put Red down here but Blue allows Red to pull Blue’s head down into that nasty lifting guillotine. 03:38 Blue gets a little impatient here when he goes for the mount allowing Red to trap his leg. You have to be very controlled during that knee drive to mount and learn the timing for it for optimal results. 04:57 This time Blue is patient and waits for the right moment for that knee drive and gets the points. He didn’t rush and jump like last time. He readjusted a few times before attempting to go to the mount. 05:20 That was a super smooth transition to that head and arm choke. Notice how tense Blue’s muscles are here. He is squeezing that choke pretty hard. I believe if he had dropped his hip and let his weight settle and allowed the choke to do its work he would have gotten the tap here. Don’t rush when you get a choke like that. I know it was almost time but that squeeze and release is not the optimal way. A slow continuous squeeze is what forces a tap. That was a very good job by both guys there were both getting after it.
