Shlemenko knocked out "The Bull" with one punch! THAT'S A KNOCKOUT!

In 2007, Alexander, like many leading Russian fighters, tried his hand at the burgeoning Bodog Fight promotion. In his very first fight, he showed what they call his mettle, knocking out American Scott Heinze with his signature backfist at a Vancouver tournament. In his second fight, which took place in Moscow in November of that same 2007, Alexander faced Argentine fighter Diego Vysotsky. In addition to his last name, which was iconic to Russian audiences, Vysotsky had a rather unique nickname: "El Toro," meaning "The Bull."
