栗林公園 Shikoku - Ritsurin Garden - Japan in HD

Risturin Garden is a traditional Japanese garden located in the city of Takamatsu and that bears the main characteristics of the Edo era. It is composed of 6 ponds and 13 hills, beautifully arranged against the backdrop offered by the Mount Shinzuan. Ritsurin Garden’s South Pond was established around 1620 by Takatoshi Ikoma, daimyo of Sanuki (now Kagawa). The garden was expanded by successive generations of Daimyo of the Matsudaira Family, until its completion in 1754.
