Easy chocolate cake! No Oven! No Eggs!
No oven and no eggs needed for this easy chocolate cake! You know I like to keep it simple and it doesn't get much easier than this low-ingredient cake. Here's how to make the best, easiest chocolate cake ever. It's so moist and fudgy and super delicious. It's really easy to make, so follow along π This cake is eggless and it can also be made totally dairy-free by swapping the butter for oil and choosing a different topping. This cake can be made super fast, in just 10 minutes. No pre-heating the oven, because we're zapping this one in the microwave, but you can also bake it in the oven if you prefer. The dark chocolate ganache topping makes this cake so rich and chocolatey, but feel free to use a different topping such as a chocolate buttercream frosting or even Nutella π€€ Ingredients: For the cake: 150g plain flour (1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour) 100g granulated sugar (1/2 cup white sugar) 60g cocoa powder (8 tbsp) 2 tsp baking powder 90g salted or unsalted butter, melted (6 tbsp) (can swap for vegetable oil) 380ml warm water (scant 1 2/3 cups) For the chocolate ganache topping (remember you can use any topping you like): 150g dark chocolate (5.25oz) 150ml double cream (2/3 cup heavy cream) The dish I used was a 7β (microwave-safe) silicone cake mould. Tips: The container/dish you use will affect how long your cake takes to cook. Please cook it until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs on and there's no wet batter left. Let it cool in the dish before removing it and adding the topping There should be no wet batter visible. If there is, continue to microwave in 30-second bursts until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs on The sponge isnβt too sweet, so feel free to play with the toppings to make it your own.
