A look back to Cymru’s last FIFA World Cup play-off campaign! 🔙 Captain Gareth Bale strikes twice to fire Cymru in to the World Cup play-off final, bringing them a step closer to qualifying for their first World Cup since 1958. The Real Madrid star scored with a trademark free-kick, lifting the ball over the wall and past goalkeeper Heinz Lindner. Bale would double Wales’ lead early in the second-half, taking the ball off of Ben Davies, to score through a sea of bodies. A deflected effort from Marcel Sabitzer reduced the deficit but Rob Page’s side were able to hold on.
