Hector "Macho" Camacho Vs The Nature Boy Homer Gibbins May 20, 1995 pt 2

Homer weighing in at only 143 lbs the night of the fight and the legend Hector Macho Camacho never making weight at all, came in at 165 lbs the night of the fight. Camacho had been knocking and beating people pretty steadily. Homer beat Todd Foster the olympian on ESPN but the business of boxing allowed Todd to get the fight with Camacho before Homer did. Foster was knockd out in the 5th round of the fight on 1-14-1995. Then on 2-28-95 Camacho stopped Louis Maysonet and 3-29-1995 he totally outclassed Verdell Smith. So for people to think Homer could even be in the same ring with the champ was crazy. So no one expected Homer to go the distance with the Macho Man. Homer was a solid fighter, better than anyone gave him credit for and determined to take the champ all 12 rounds standing in the center of the ring until one of them fell. Homer only took the fight to be in the same ring with the legend. Now I will tell you that on Donald Trump's unofficial score card he had Camacho winning 4 rounds clearly and Homer 4 rounds clearly with 4 rounds that were up for grabs, depending on the style of fighting you liked. He said "I like the fighter so I had you winning but no one asked me to judge." Homer had trained to stand toe to toe with Camacho because that's what the Macho man said he was going to do. Camacho also went on to knock out the legend Sugar Ray Leonard in the 5th round. Homer has always said "I loved Camcho, the style, the speed, and the boxing mastery. There is no one better than him and I just want to take his best and still be standing when the final bell rings." Camacho and Homer had fun and later camcho told Homer in the 3rd round you hurt me. Homer said "I believe that's the first of many times you elbowed me in my mouth." Camacho laughed and said " Oh yeah I did, nothing personal it is just the business."
