Congratulations to Blackpool's Will Goldie-Galloway who was awarded the strap after an emphatic first round stoppage over Doncaster's Thor Mellers. Both fighters were undefeated going in to the bout. After success working off the jab in the early part of the round, Jamie was put on the back foot with an uppercut on the inside, allowing Will to put his punches together and score his first knock-down. Unsteady on his feet, Mellers valiantly attempted to box his way out of trouble, but sensing he was hurt, Galloway maintained the pressure which saw Jamie down for a second time, on the bell, with referee Jamie Kirkpatrick waving off the fight.
