So this was a decent one time watch jew heist/hidden jewels type B fim. The bad guys show up at the storage facility where the jewels are hidden and a struggling mom and her daughter now have to survive the nefarious culprits who are after the jewels. Watch once and keep it moving. Nothing at all to write home about.

Decent enough for a slow day. How good it was you ask? Well... let me give you a scene and you decide. Imagine you just witnessed a murder, and your mother is in danger and you are in a room with TV monitors and you can see everything happening live. Your mother is in danger out there and you are facing away from these monitors instead of looking at them to warn her of dangers over the PA. It was a decent movie Aside from the utter stupidity and less than credible scenarios.

I love it when reviewers think they are knowledgeable about what makes a good movie, acting, etc. They think you can't be a good critic unless you nit-pic about every little issue and give it a thumbs down. This is not a great movie but it's worth watching. The acting was fine. Those who say it was unbelievable are probably the same ones who have no problem watching cars turn into robots. I have to wonder how many good movies I've missed in the past because I read someone's review who didn't have a clue.

Maggie (Mena Suvari ) is raising a daughter (Jasper Polish) on her own. She is claustrophobic and works at a storage unit facility with a dishonest man. She boots people out who can't pay while cries for extra time from the landlord for rent. Long story short, there are diamonds hidden somewhere in the facility and the bad guys show up and want them. Didn't care for the dowdy looking Maggie or her daughter. Bad guys were typical. Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.

Just watching the trailer you can see how stupid and dumb this movie is as they were able to fend off bad dudes who wanted their diamonds. I wanted the mom and daughter to die just looking at the trailer. Then I wanted all of them to die because the crooks were bumbling idiots to allow these ridiculous women to best them. This movie makes no sense at all.

What ever happened to a movie with at least 1 person you feel like rooting for? In this movie they were either slimy, just plain bad, or so stupid they should not be allowed to live through the movie. Do NOT waste your time, the Muppets are more exciting!

Oh geez let me count the ways how stupid this "movie" is. 1. The phone apparently doesn't work for no given reason at the office. 2. Dumb Mom witnessed murder but yet failed to convey that to her daughter at the bathroom. 3. Dumb mom loves to give out more personal info to the killers capturing her. Oh yea, let discuss about my husband and daughter. 4. Dumb Mom and daughter in the middle of quick decision making to escape but yet rather spend time on rehashing why mommy and daddy no longer together. 5. Dumb mom likes to bang killers in the head cold and just run, and not just banging them any further. 6. Dumb mom tells daughter to stay near the car but not run for help! 7. Dumb mom WITH A GUN negotiating a killer WITHOUT A GUN for her car keys? Instead of just you know, shoot him? Not to be outdone, dumber daughter decides to run in the path of the killer to be captured. 8. Killer got shot and the handcuffed him to the police car. But just his one hand. Hmm, I wonder if he would escape. 9. Dumb mom decides to attack the detective durin his struggle with the killer. 10. Dumb mom witnessed killing in the beginning and instead of driving her and daughter for help, decides to go back in. 11. A month after all this trauma, dumb mom is promoted to manager of same store seemingly happy. Notice the dumb theme in all of these.

For his first feature film, writer-director Gutierrez has pulled it off quite admirably with this thriller featuring some well known actors thrown into a confined scenario which is always a difficult one to pull off but I think he did rather well with what he had to work with. As usual we have the (1 or 10) star reviews which you can virtually ignore in almost every film review section as rarely does a film merit a 10 which is the best movie you have ever seen or a 1 which is the worst movie you have ever seen and this is most certainly a million miles away from a 1 - I suggest these reviewers watch the "Bad Batch" or the recent Mickey Rourke thriller "Adverse" and tell me this film still merits a 1 star review! Good acting performances from all concerned which is always a good start, basic heist and retrieve the stolen goods story which is staple thriller fair but done with aplomb, a welcome return from Jeff Fahey who pulls of a rather impressive vicious bad guy and Mena Suvari as the heroine who always gives a good performance, make this a lot better than it would have been without them. Good nights viewing which will not have you reaching for the fast forward button. Solid 6 out of 10.

Awful! I know that at times you will read a review and then watch it and you will like something about the movie despite that review. So here was what I liked. I like that the girl managed to create a huge flame thrower out of just a lighter. Or how after pushing the gate code Maggie walks away while still being shot at. How could I forget, the guy in the burning RV who doesn't manage to break one window to say his life. All of these moments and more made this movie unbearable to watch. I feel very sorry for the lead actress who's only believe moment was at the end when she found the diamonds. The rest of the movie was bad acting followed by a dumb and boring story. Not to mention I had to rewind the movie when the undercover cop came in and they acted like they knew him. I had no idea who he was until I watched the beginning again, thanks for that. It doesn't take much to make a movie even half decent movie, this one was no where close to that. Plz avoid this movie.

The set off for this movie within the first five minutes stunned me. The actions would never occur in the US. I lost all interest and turned it off. I want my 10 minutes and $0.99 back.
